CHOOSING ministries
We search for ministries worldwide who have a primary focus of caring for orphans, children at risk and widows in need. When we find a ministry that matches our philosophy and criteria, then we prayerfully decide how we can best help them fulfill their vision. This may be through financial help, counsel or in other ways.
In the early years of Hope Universal, we established ministries in Sierra Leone and Liberia, and along the way we learned some lessons, a few do’s and don’ts. Sometimes we learned from watching others, and sometimes through our own personal experiences.
the purpose
The purpose for doing what we do is two-fold. Number one, we support ministries after they have been carefully assessed using the criteria that we have drafted. Number two, we connect donors with legitimate ministries that actually do what they say they do, and in a Christlike manner.
When a ministry is following the mandate God has given them, and they are doing it in a way that is pleasing to God, we want to embrace them and help them.
If we find out that an implementing partner is not doing what they say they are doing, or if they are not operating in a way that is pleasing to God, then we step in and give counsel. If this does not help, any financial support will be discontinued.
Thank God there are many ministries around the world walking in the steps of Christ, serving others as Christ did. We are excited each time we find a new implementing partner to support.
Our goal is to help orphans, children at risk, and widows in need, all round the globe financially, and in other ways when needed.
